Beverage label designs
It is fun when shopping to discover my drink lables. My babyblue lables are in T and T, IGA Marketplace. I see my TrueBlue 100% juice label in Costco.
Usually my daughters race to the juice aile and find my juice labels. Or we see little PureRed, PureBlue, PureBlack and PureWhite in the coolers.
New Alcuin 2011 catalogue
Last years catalogue I took my trusty old camera out to the beach to take the shots for the catalogue. The temptation was to go into a completely different direction for the catalogue. However I fet it was important to keep the visual language. To maintain the feel of the catalogue. Instead of taking my camera somewhere else, I revisted the beach. But this time I concentrated more on wood its structure. The pictures create a great West coast feeling. Incorporating west coast feeling and book design at the same time.
Latest projects
Among my latest projects is a simple mentorship page for the UBC school of architecture and landscape archtitecture (SALA). It features the various firm mentors to allow student to pick thier personal mentor.
The mentorship program was set up and organized by my partner Fitnat.
In the pipeline is a the complete overhaul of the SALA site. It will be launched around Halloween, but without any scary ghosts or pumkin lights.
Hell Box the book is finished
My latest book about letterpress printing is finished. I loved gathering materials for this book. My research led me into Paul Razzel’s studio. He graciously allowed me to take pictures of his printing press.
Robert Reid adviced me on binding and printing. As much as creating the book I loved talking to him about books. Marlene Chan helped me to edit, and our many late night emails helped me to find the direction for the book.
The first copy of Hell Box the book, traveled down to San Francisco CODEX were it was promptly sold to Santa Fee.
